2025 CCCOG Vision + Corporate Fast

But forget all that -- it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. (Isaiah 43:18-19)

Dear Capital City Church of God Family:

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Church, I am excited to begin this year with our corporate twenty-one days of prayer and fasting. I’m reminded of the story in Matthew 17:14-21 (NKJV) where a father brought his son, who had seizures, to the disciples to be healed. They could not heal him. The disciples asked Jesus why they could not heal this young man. Jesus replied, “...this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” As a church, we must realize that if we are expecting a move of God, some things are only going to happen by prayer and fasting.

This year’s vision is The Family Focus: Releasing the Old, Embracing the New, and Rejoicing in the Future We Have Because of You. As we come together and pray, I believe God will do a NEW THING in our family, church, and community relationships. Can’t you hear God saying: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” Yes, God, I see it! I see families being healed. I see our church family growing closer together. I see restored relationships. I see God adding to our church. I see CCCOG creating experiences that will benefit the families in our communities. I see families following Christ and aligning to God’s original plan for the family! Can YOU see it?

If your answer is yes, let’s take advantage of this period of fasting and prayer. Let’s embrace this vision God has laid out before us – focusing on the family, God’s building block for our church, community, and beyond. Let’s release the things that hold us back and hinder us from growing. Let’s embrace the new things God is desiring to do through us individually and as a church. Let’s rejoice and celebrate the relationships we have now and those we are helping to build in this Kingdom work.

We will be fasting from January 6th through the 26th. Allow this guide to assist you throughout our Twenty-One Day Corporate Fast as we seek God’s will and His blessings for our families, church, and our community. I hope you are as excited as I am!
