The Solution for a Troubled Heart

ree

In the upper room, the disciples and Jesus are eating the Passover meal the night before His death on the cross. Jesus began to prepare His disciples for His departure. The pain of His departure is already troubling their hearts. The disciples are hurting and confused. They are filled with anxiety about what’s going to happen in the future. Jesus anticipates their troubles and the pain and anxiety that is beginning to build at the thought of losing Him and gives them comfort. The basis of this comfort comes through trusting in Jesus.

Difficulties will come our way. There will be setbacks and struggles in the journey. These things can take the joy out of living and cause us to have a troubled heart. Our faith begins to weaken, and if we collect enough hurts, it can stop us from wanting to push forward. As children of God, we have a trustworthy Solution, and his name is JESUS. Try your best not to let the hurts hurt you. Trust His comfort in our lives. The devil is not stronger than the God we serve, and He gives us the weapons we need to help us in troubled times.

Proverbs 18:10 tells us that, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe.” So, when trouble comes upon your heart and knocks at your door, lift up your eyes and remember your help comes from the Lord.
